Job Description for Ericsson Online Charging System (OCS) Senior Engineer
Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Support Engineer to join our global team. The ideal candidate will have at least 6 years' experience in a similar role and possesses a strong technical background. The Support Engineer will be responsible for providing technical support to our customers and internal teams, also does configurations, development and integration on Ericsson Online Charging System (OCS), troubleshooting issues, and ensuring the smooth operation of our systems.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Provide technical support to customers and internal teams, also Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement solutions
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in a timely manner
- Monitor system performance and make recommendations for improvements
- Document support processes and procedures
- Stay up to date on industry trends and best practices
- Configure and develop Ericsson OCS nodes (OCC, CCN, SDP, AIR)
- Integrate and configure Ericsson OCS nodes (OCC, CCN, SDP, AIR) with core network platforms like MSC, GGSN, IMS, etc.
- Troubleshoot TCP-IP/SCTP, Diameter communication, End-to-End TCP dump analysis
- Troubleshoot implementation and release activities
Required Experience
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in a support engineering role
- Strong technical background with experience in troubleshooting and problem-solving
- Extensive understanding of Diameter protocol-based communication (Gy, Gx, Esy and Sy applications)
- Extensive understanding and hands-on experience of Ericsson OCS nodes (OCC, CCN, SDP, AIR, VS)
- Integration knowledge of Ericsson OCS nodes (OCC, CCN, SDP, AIR) with core network platforms like MSC, GGSN, IMS, etc.
- Hands-on knowledge and troubleshooting experience of TCP-IP/SCTP, Diameter communication, End-to-End TCP dump analysis
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (Ability to work independently and as part of a team)

- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field
