We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Engineer specializing in Ericsson SAPC for our global team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 6 years of experience in a similar role, with a deep understanding of Policy and Charging Rules Function (PCRF) systems, particularly Ericsson's SAPC. This role involves technical support, configuration, integration, and troubleshooting to ensure the efficient operation of our systems.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Provide advanced technical support for Ericsson SAPC to customers and internal teams.
  • Configure, integrate, and optimize Ericsson SAPC nodes with core network platforms, including IMS, GGSN/PGW, and other PCRF/OCS systems.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to SAPC, Diameter-based communication (Gx, Rx), and end-to-end network integration.
  • Perform system upgrades, patches, and maintenance to ensure optimal performance and compliance with SLAs.
  • Analyze and resolve issues related to policy enforcement, subscriber sessions, and signaling protocols.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement SAPC solutions tailored to client requirements.
  • Monitor and analyze system performance, providing recommendations for enhancements and capacity planning.
  • Document technical processes, workflows, and troubleshooting guides for SAPC nodes.
  • Hands-on experience on migration of SAPC from one vendor to other.
  • Experience in troubleshooting PCEF (Policy and Charging Enforcement Function) issues.
  • Provide 24/7 on-call support for critical operations.

Required Experience:

  • Minimum of 6 years of experience in supporting and managing Ericsson SAPC or PCRF platforms.
  • Strong understanding of policy and charging control concepts, including PCRF architecture and functionalities.
  • Hands-on experience with Diameter protocol-based communication (Gx, Rx, Sy) and TCP-IP/SCTP communication.
  • Integration experience of Ericsson SAPC with core network components such as IMS, GGSN/PGW, and OCS.
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting Diameter signaling, policy rules enforcement, and end-to-end network issues.
  • Familiarity with traffic shaping, QoS enforcement, and session management.
  • Experience with Linux/Unix systems and scripting (Python, Bash) is a plus.

Required Skills:

  • Knowledge of virtualization platforms (VMware, OpenStack) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Experience with monitoring tools such as Nagios, Grafana, or Splunk for system health checks and diagnostics.
  • Familiarity with cloud-native implementations of SAPC or PCRF systems.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work under pressure.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.
