Summary

We are seeking an experienced and visionary Solution Architect with a strong background in Ericsson Charging System (CS) to join our global team. The ideal candidate will bring 6+ years of experience in telecom solution architecture, with hands-on expertise across the full suite of Ericsson Charging System nodes, including OCS, IN, Mediation, and Voucher Systems. This role requires a deep technical understanding, strategic thinking, and the ability to design and implement scalable, reliable charging solutions in dynamic telecom environments.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Lead the solution design and architecture for projects involving Ericsson Charging System nodes, including but not limited to:
  • OCS (OCC, CCN, SDP, AIR, VS)
  • IN (Intelligent Network)
  • Mediation & EMM
  • Voucher Management Systems
  • Collaborate with customers and internal teams to gather requirements and translate business needs into effective technical solutions.
  • Design end-to-end charging architectures integrated with core network elements like MSC, GGSN, PGW, IMS, etc.
  • Drive the integration strategy, system configurations, and solution validation to ensure seamless interoperability.
  • Provide expert guidance in Diameter, CAMEL, SS7, and SIGTRAN-based protocols for real-time charging, session control, and communication flows.
  • Conduct deep network trace and protocol analysis including TCP/IP, SCTP, and Diameter interfaces (Gy, Gx, Sy, Ro, Rs, etc.).
  • Support implementation, upgrades, and solution optimization across charging systems.
  • Produce high-quality documentation for solution blueprints, integration specifications, and operational handovers.
  • Stay updated on Ericsson product roadmaps, telecom trends, and emerging best practices.

Required Experience

  • Minimum 6 years of experience in telecom solution architecture or senior engineering roles.
  • Proven expertise across Ericsson Charging System nodes – OCS (OCC, CCN, SDP, AIR, VS), IN platforms, Mediation, and Voucher systems.
  • In-depth understanding of real-time charging principles, prepaid/postpaid systems, and interconnects.
  • Strong protocol-level knowledge in Diameter (Gy, Gx, Sy, Ro), CAMEL, SS7, SIGTRAN, and IP-based interfaces.
  • Experience with charging system integration into various core network elements (MSC, SGSN, GGSN, IMS, etc.).
  • Proficiency in TCP dump analysis, system troubleshooting, and performance tuning.
  • Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management skills; ability to lead cross-functional teams.
  • Strong documentation and presentation abilities for technical and non-technical audiences.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Relevant certifications in Ericsson Charging Systems or telecom architecture (preferred).
